Out of our Hotel Hirschen and off to the fascinating city of Regensburg!

Around our Romantik Hotel Hirschen, there are thousands of possibilities for trips in Upper Palatinate. How about a city trip to Regensburg for example? The city – situated just half an hour’s drive away from our hotel – became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2006. Regensburg is especially known for its historic old town. The Gothic cathedral with the Regensburg cathedral boys’ choir and the Old Stone Bridge over the Danube (the oldest stone bridge in Germany!), the two landmarks of the city, await you here. Of course, there are other well-known buildings worth seeing here, such as the Porta Praetoria gate, Thurn & Taxis palace, or the old town hall. Regensburg also offers leisure activities galore, such as bowling, billiards, a boat trip, a water park, or activities at the Danube park (Donaupark). If you want to admire the city from a special perspective, we recommend that you visit the Winzerer Höhen, which you can reach from the cathedral in about an hour’s hike. End your day in the spa of our hotel’s wellness area!
